The Next Big Broadway Star!

(PRWeb) February 5, 2007 -- She's sweet, she's sexy, and she's spiritual. Yet, most importantly she keeps you on your toes with her sense of humor! Kathleen Monteleone had America in stitches on the first live show of Grease when she gave her spiritual tip of the night, "when wearing sandy spandex do not rely on prayer alone!"

We're looking for a triple threat: singing, acting and dancing,…She did great
Her performance has everyone talking in favor of her, from newspaper articles to blogs. The Theatre Addict says "she is the only one that sang flawlessly…and is the one beat." Broadway World featured her as well saying ""Spiritual Sandy," Kathleen Monteleone needn't say a prayer, because she is all but locked into moving on…as her perky singing of "Suddenly I See" won over the judges. And who could resist a girl who gives advice on how to wear Sandy spandex? You go girl."

From the moment Kathleen stepped into the Grease audition room she has been taking the competition to another level. Everyone is raving about the fact that she is the only 'true' triple threat by having acting skills to match her dynamic voice and dance talent. David Ian, the producer of the Broadway show of 'Grease', who is considered the most powerful man in theatre said when speaking of Kathleen Monteleone, "We're looking for a triple threat: singing, acting and dancing,…She did great," Ian said of Monteleone. "She was selected to go through. And she was very, very strong.. "she showed real passion and anger. We could see through her singing that she could connect."

Kathleen was born in Germany, but her family moved to Oregon while she was still a baby. Her big sister, Sarah, is a big driving force in Kathleen's life and it's because of Sarah that Kathleen started performing in the first place. Sarah was a dancer and like any normal little sister who worships her big sis, Kathleen copied her. Though Kathleen's dream her whole life has been to be a Broadway star, she met the man she wanted to marry right after college. She says for the first time her priorities shifted and while the dream for Broadway was just as big, marrying Frank had become bigger and more important. Although she puts her marriage first, Kathleen refuses to give up on her dream to star on Broadway and Frank is very supportive.
