San Francisco, CA (PRWeb) February 8, 2007 -- Clickability, the leading single source provider of on-demand web content management software, announced today the appointment of George William Lohr III to senior vice president sales.
Mr. Lohr brings 20 years of executive experience to the challenge of scaling Clickability's sales and support teams through a period of rapid growth. Clickability's web content management, delivered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, has won notable new clients in the recent months, including several newspapers formerly owned by Knight-Ridder, Inc.
"Clickability is at the crossroads of major industry trends: SaaS, web content management and the reinvention of big media. The opportunity to help build this company into the next SaaS dynamo is one that I couldn't miss," said Mr. Lohr.
Prior to joining Clickability, Mr. Lohr spent his entire career in executive sales, service and marketing roles. Most recently, he has focused on small and medium size businesses including Everdream, a desktop management software-as-a-service company, where he grew monthly recurring revenue by 60 percent to over $1 million his first year, and Exigen Group, where he closed $20 million in new business helping the company grow from $45 million to $75 million annually. He was the chief executive officer at YY Technologies, and held vice president roles at Idapta and iPlanet e-commerce solutions, a company that grew from an alliance between Sun Microsystems and Netscape Communications.
Mr. Lohr's large company experience includes vice president professional services delivery at AOL/Netscape, where he managed over 200 professionals and a $60 million budget. Mr. Lohr's contributions at Netscape included growing the professional services business on the west coast by over $30 million. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lohr held marketing and sales executive positions at IBM, where he exceeded sales objectives and led the field marketing efforts of the company's $1 billion consulting services division.
Mr. Lohr has a B.A. in economics and business from Lafayette College.
"I welcome Bill to my senior team and look forward to working with him to drive our sales and customer support success to new heights in 2007," said John Girard, chief executive officer, Clickability.
