New Website Changes the Way of Defense Contracting

Individuals and companies can increase their share in this $200 billion industry.

(PRWeb) February 10, 2007 -- eDefenseContractor.com provides a web-based marketplace that allows industries and individuals to communicate and conduct defense-related business over the site to meet specific product or service needs.

This site will enable defense companies to seek specialized consulting roles without the need of formally hiring full-time employees. Sellers of these products or services will be allowed to utilize their knowledge and skills in providing buyers required products or services for a fee. Accounts set up on the site allow all users to post information about their knowledge and skills. The projects are accepted by buyers and sellers through the site and buyers will leave feedback in various areas on how well tasks and communication were conducted. This feedback gives other users an evaluation tool in deciding whether to conduct business with rated users.

Defense contractors, acquisition professionals and military experienced personnel typically have various skills and expertise. Defense companies require this range of skills and expertise in areas such as proposal generation, product development, consulting roles and long-term support. eDefenseContractor provides a bridge to satisfy those requirements.

In addition, defense companies can auction off products within the site. "There are many companies or individuals who can provide specialized defense-related products such as manufactured components or computer-based programs. This site will allow companies seeking these products to provide a Request for Proposal, receive bids and select the best bidder to perform the work," says eDefenseContractor.com CEO James T. Fuller. "Individuals and companies can increase their exposure outside of their local markets to attract potential clients."

For a special time only, account access is provided at no charge. If registered users desire to post projects or submit bids, they will be required to pay a verification fee of 99 cents for 90 days of access.
