Grammy and Emmy Wins are Child's Play for Dennis Scott

Nashville producer is on a musical roll receiving his second Emmy award on the heels of a recent Grammy win.

(PRWeb) February 20, 2007 -- Dennis Scott, best known for his work as a composer and producer of children's music, received a regional Emmy at the 2007 awards for 'BJ's Teddy Bear Club' -- a series he co-developed with Mags Entertainment. Scott accepted the honor at a gala event which took place at Music City's new Symphony Center. Says Scott, 'BJ is a character I created fifteen years ago and reinvented for the series.' Scott serves as music director for the show which airs on TBN. A new BJ Christmas special received high ratings throughout the holiday season. "Kids Music is my business!" says an enthusiastic Scott whose latest product "Silly Car Songs" was just released by Greenhill Music.

Scott's songs have been performed by such diverse artists as Faith Hill, Ray Charles, The Muppets, Alison Krauss, Charlie Daniels Band, CeCe Winans, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Glen Campbell, and Amy Grant, among others.

Kids Music is my business!
Famed country band, Sugarland, recently performed Scott's composition 'Songs' for an episode of Sesame Street and DVD collection. The chart topping group teamed up with Children's Televsion Workshop's most celebrated chracter - Elmo.

Scott has written music for the PBS series "Noddy" and live touring shows such as "Clifford," "Sesame Street" and Scholastic's "Magic School Bus." His TV credits include "Who's The Boss," "Fame," "Sesame Street," "Elmopalooza," "Guiding Light" and others.

His recent Grammy award was for: 'Songs From the Neighborhood -- The Music of Mister Rogers' which featured such artists as Jon Secada, Roberta Flack, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Ricky Skaggs, Maureen McGovern, John Pizarelli, and Donna Summer. The album won as Best Musical Recording for Children.
