Saturday Night Music Live on Great American Country

Hot country music newcomer Jason Michael Carroll takes the stage with country music legend George Jones, Joe Nichols and Ashley Monroe for a live performance on GAC's Grand Ole Opry Live on February 24. Upcoming performers live on GAC include Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Gretchen Wilson, Little Big Town, Taylor Swift, Trent Tomlinson and The Wreckers.

Nashville, Tenn. (PRWeb) February 19, 2007 -- Newcomer Jason Michael Carroll joins country crooner Joe Nichols, Ashley Monroe and popular performer George Jones live from Nashville on GAC's Grand Ole Opry Live Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. ET.

Carroll makes his first appearance on Grand Ole Opry Live. His debut single, Alyssa Lies, has been tearing up the country music charts, while his new album, Waitin' in the Country, arrived on the charts this month at No. 1, making his the top-selling album debut by a male country artist in 15 years.

Nichols' current vide, I'll Wait For You, is a favorite on GAC's fan-voted Top 20 Country Countdown. Nichols recently hosted the Valentine's Day special GAC Love Songs.

Jones, a country music legend and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, continues to wow audiences with his on-stage performances and has placed more individual songs on the country charts than any other artist.

"GAC brings some of the top country music artists right into people's living rooms. It's like a concert every Saturday night," said Sarah Trahern, senior vice president of programming for GAC. Upcoming Saturday night Opry Live shows on GAC will featur popular artists including Alan Jackson (March 10); Gretchen Wilson, Trent Tomlinson and Loretta Lynn (March 17); Martina McBride, Terri Clark and Little Big Town (March 31), American Idol finalist Bucky Covington, Emerson Drive and GAC Short Cuts star Taylor Swift (April 7); and The Wreckers (April 14).
