Coldwater, MI (PRWeb) February 21, 2007 -- Remnant Publications , a leading non-profit Christian publisher, will dramatically support the burgeoning church in Africa by collecting and shipping 4 million Bibles to spiritually sustain and grow God's church in that huge harvest field ( informational video can be viewed here ).

This goal is only attainable if Christians in America band together to help their brothers and sisters in Africa, just as Paul responded when the people pleaded, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.'
Today more than 35 percent of the Southern African population is infected with the HIV virus. Every day, thousands upon thousands die as a result of this deadly disease. And many more victims are going to their graves without the hope found in Jesus Christ.

That's why the southern African church is on-fire for evangelism. Sensing the soon return of Jesus, they are seeking to reach these precious but sick souls before it is too late, along with the millions more who are lost without Jesus.

However, the church doesn't have the Bibles it needs to gain new souls for the kingdom! The church is too poor to afford Bibles for her own people, who are unable to give Bible studies for lack of literature! In fact, many church members will sacrifice 4 days of food just to purchase a Bible.

Says Dwight Hall, president of Remnant, "This is a great tragedy. The southern African church is completely committed to soul-winning. Yet God's people there lack the most basic tool they need to accomplish this goal: Bibles. It simply cannot go on like this much longer."

Remnant is working with North American churches and Christians across denominational lines to ensure this enormous project, called Bibles for Africa , becomes a reality. The publisher's proven ability to print and distribute Christian literature quickly and efficiently since 1985 makes it a unique player in this Spirit-led mission.

The demand for Bibles is great in Africa, meaning there is already a place for every Bible. They won't sit in a warehouse collecting dust and they won't be sold for cash. They will be used to share God's Word with those in need.

By God's grace, Remnant has already negotiated an opportune price to print Bibles: $2 each. These quality Bibles normally cost up to $15 in a bookstore; plus, they are durable and will hold up to the constant use intended for them.

And because Christian literature is joyfully shared in Africa, the impact of one Bible will touch a minimum of 20 souls and even up to 100! That means a donation of just $10 will send five Bible to Africa, touching up to 500 lives for Christ. Remnant's goal is to raise $8 million for the completion of this project, with a potential of affecting 800 million souls for Jesus.

Adds Hall, "This goal is only attainable if Christians in America band together to help their brothers and sisters in Africa, just as Paul responded when the people pleaded, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.'" According to Hall, the North American church was raised up for this very reason.
