Hot new young adult series launched with the release of Blast off to Ecaps - excellent subject matter for readers of all ages.

(PRWeb) February 25, 2007 -- Theodore G. Huntington has published one of the hottest new pieces of science fiction literature for young adults. In Blast off to Ecaps, Huntington's first novel, he blends intriguing young characters with a compelling plot to form a story that captures the imagination from page one.

"We test marketed this book to several students and teachers. The feedback was very encouraging," Huntington commented. "Everyone really seemed to enjoy the unusual characters and the uniqueness of the story."

Huntington added that young adult science fiction/fantasy stories are very popular right now, and Blast off to Ecaps is a science fiction book with a unique approach. "There are subtle messages in this book. It's not just a good versus evil story. It includes some thought-provoking ideas about society and how we resolve societal problems. Readers of all ages will find both the story and the messages very compelling. And, although it is science fiction, the characters are all very human. Readers will be able to relate to these interesting characters."

The hero of the story is a 12-year-old genius named Eddie Moon. Eddie seeks adventure and he gets his opportunity when an alien spaceship mysteriously lands in his backyard. Eddie and his friend Lisa climb into the spaceship and it whisks them off to Ecaps - a planet with many similarities to Earth. Eddie and Lisa embark on a mission to save another 12-year-old boy who has been wrongly imprisoned in a horrible cave for misbehaving children. On the way the kids encounter several interesting characters.

"Everyone will want to find out whether Eddie is able to free his friend from prison," Huntington noted.

Huntington said that many of the children and adults who reviewed the book requested follow-up stories. "I am already developing additional stories. This will be a very enjoyable series to write. I believe all readers will anxiously await the future tales of Eddie Moon."
