5 Ways to Improve Your Child's Self Esteem and Health while Playing in the United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) Perform better in school, increased communications, new friends, new skill, better community.

Torrance, CA (PRWeb) February 25, 2007 -- Lack of physical activity, trends in food consumption and changes in eating habits have contributed to children's obesity problems in the United States. However, there is one organization that is making a difference in the lives of over 60,000 children for the past nine years.

1.   Children who play sports perform better in school and are less likely to get in trouble.

2.   Easy participation for the parent and child. Check program availability online at www.usyvl.org. USYVL currently serves hundreds of communities in twelve states. The website is easy to navigate and register online.

3.   Increases communication. Involvement in sports and team based activities can improve personal communication skills. Communication within a volleyball team is essential for passing, setting and winning!

4.   Making new friends. USYVL is set in a friendly and safe environment that draws like-minded parents together to see their children learn, laugh and contribute. The USYVL season is in the Spring and Fall; children meet twice a week in their local community.

5.   Learning a new skill. The IDEA system is used by the USYVL for reaching volleyball skills. Clinicians introduce the skill to the players, demonstrate how it is done, explain how the skill is implemented and then attend to the players needs while the child practices the new skills.

About USYVL
Going on its tenth year, USYVL was founded and led by Randy Sapoznik and his dedicated staff in Torrance, CA. USYVL is the leading youth volleyball instructional organization that ensures every child plays. www.usyvl.org
