Immersion Active Partner to Speak at Boomers 2.0, the 6th Annual Beyond the Numbers Boomer Marketing Summit

Immersion Active partner David Weigelt will be featured as a panelist and roundtable discussion leader at the 6th annual Beyond the Numbers Boomer Marketing Summit. The event, sponsored by JWT Boom, will be held March 26-27 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

Frederick, MD (PRWeb) February 28, 2007 -- When Beyond the Numbers announced that this year's conference, titled Boomers 2.0, would address the impact of digital media on baby boomer consumers; it was only logical that Immersion Active would be a fit. As the only Internet marketing agency in the United States focused solely on the mature markets, Immersion Active knows a thing or two on leveraging the Internet to connect with boomers.

Immersion Active Partner David Weigelt will be featured as a panelist on the Online Panel, which will analyze how new media, new technology, entertainment, the Internet, and traditional media can be used in new ways to connect with this lucrative demographic. Jack Barrette, Category Development Officer for Yahoo, will host the panel, titled "New Media & Online Drill Down - What Does This Mean to You as a Marketer?"

"As one-third of the 195.3 million Internet users in the United States, mature consumers represent the Web's largest constituency," David said. "And yet, they remain the most underserved group online. It's nice to know that marketers are becoming savvy to this demographic's enormous potential online."

Following the panel, David will lead a roundtable discussion. During this time, he will exhibit Immersion Active's interactive aging simulator, an exclusive demo where people can experience firsthand the challenges faced by aging Internet users.

"As people age, they experience unavoidable changes in their physiological and cognitive functions," David said. "A huge part of understanding this is actually experiencing it. Just because mature users require specific design considerations does not mean that their online experiences can't be dynamic, rich, and interactive."

David co-founded Immersion Active with partner Jonathan Boehman in 1998. His primary responsibilities are in business development and marketing strategies for both Immersion Active and its clients.
