TriStar, Inc. announced today it is acquiring Toronto-based engineering services and software provider ADI, expanding its coverage into the Canadian market and extending its product and service offerings.

PHOENIX, AZ (PRWeb) February 8, 2007 -- TriStar, Inc. announced today it is acquiring Toronto-based engineering services and software provider ADI. The acquisition will expand TriStar's coverage into the Canadian market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ADI is a proven leader in product lifecycle management (PLM) and adds a wealth of knowledge and expertise to TriStar, allowing for an expanded engineering consulting services division that will bring extensive value to their combined clients in addition to the expanded footprint in the Northeast and Canadian markets. The acquisition joins two of the top PTC Certified Training Partners, giving customers even more choices for training options and locations.

The ADI team is an extension of the company culture we strive to build for our customers.
"I am excited about what this acquisition of ADI means to TriStar," says TriStar president Patrick Maderia. "The ADI team is an extension of the company culture we strive to build for our customers." Dave Wallace, president of ADI, elaborated more saying, "Our combined strengths are a very positive win for our customers. Combining the talents of our engineering groups and being acquired by someone with the financial strength that TriStar has will allow our sales team to bring more solutions to market."

The transaction is scheduled to be completed later this month. ADI's workforce will transition to a new order processes system once the acquisition is complete, but other than an expanded lineup of product offerings and a new company name, their customers will notice little change. Wallace will join TriStar as Vice President of Sales.

In 2006, TriStar extended its presence into Mexico, accelerating the growth of both PTC and the Mexican engineering industry. Now, the combination of TriStar, PTC's largest North American reseller, and ADI, the third largest reseller, will expand TriStar's presence in the eastern US and into Canada, giving the combined company a distinct advantage and solidifying its position as the leader in the PTC reseller channel. TriStar's goal is to serve as a "one-stop-shop" for the product development community, offering a complete and unified range of products and services necessary for success. By expanding its service area and offerings, TriStar's acquisition of ADI brings it closer to achieving this goal and reinforces its reputation of stability and reliability.
