NAMWOLF Welcomes Steelcase Inc. to its Corporate and Public Entities Partnering Program

The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) is pleased to welcome Steelcase Inc. to its Corporate and Public Entities Partnering Program (CPEPP).

Grand Rapids, MI (PRWeb) February 9, 2007 -- The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) is pleased to welcome Steelcase Inc. to its Corporate and Public Entities Partnering Program (CPEPP).

"It is a great pleasure to have Steelcase Inc. on board with NAMWOLF as a Corporate Partner," said Yolanda Coly, Associate Director of NAMWOLF. "Steelcase has a commitment to workforce diversity and partnering with our organization reaffirms that pledge. The company's hierarchy from top to bottom demonstrates a spirit of diversity, and Steelcase should be commended for its efforts," she added.

Under CPEPP, interested corporations agree to set a goal of eventually expending a minimum of 5% of their outside counsel budget with minority and women-owned law firms. NAMWOLF strives to recruit and admit only those minority and women-owned law firms that have a track record of representing major corporations and public entities.

"Steelcase has a longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion, and is proud to include outside legal counsel as part of our diversity initiatives," said Jon Botsford, Senior Vice President, Secretary & Chief Legal Officer of Steelcase, Inc. "Diversity enriches the legal profession and greater diversity at all levels of the legal profession is critical. By becoming a NAMWOLF partner, we affirm our commitment and acknowledge our responsibility to hire firms lead by minority and women attorneys."

Steelcase Inc. is the global leader in the office furniture industry. Steelcase designs, markets, and manufactures office furniture. It offers a range of products with a variety of aesthetic options and performance features, and at various price points that address three core elements of a work environment: furniture, interior architecture and technology. The company operates as a family of additional companies including: North America, International, Design Partnerships, Steelcase Development Corporation and other business enterprises. Steelcase today is an international company with approximately 13,000 employees worldwide, manufacturing facilities in over 30 locations and more than 800 dealer locations around the world.

The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (www.namwolf.org) was founded in June 2001. It is a national trade association comprising a select group of minority and women-owned law firms who exhibit excellence in the legal profession. The primary aim of the organization is to advocate for the increased utilization of minority and women-owned law firms by major corporations and public entities throughout the United States.
