A popular, online musician’s Web site known as MusoFinder has recently improved its Web site interface to offer a chat room, community ratings, RSS feeds and other new features (www.MusoFinder.com).

(PRWEB) February 15, 2007 -- A little bit of fine tuning and a melodious ear for knowing what musicians and bands would like from a social musician’s Web site has led MusoFinder.com to announce the launch of several new features, including a chat room, community ratings system and RSS feeds.

The new chat room, community ratings and RSS feeds – combined with our existing services of wanted ads, musicians listings and band listings – will make MusoFinder one of the best social Web sites on the Internet for musicians
Members also have a new ability to block specific members to whom they do not wish to correspond.

“The new chat room, community ratings and RSS feeds – combined with our existing services of wanted ads, musicians listings and band listings – will make MusoFinder one of the best social Web sites on the Internet for musicians,” said Nick Burne, Managing Director of MusoFinder. “By searching through our numerous listings, for instance, a band in need of a drummer can ‘shop around’ and see what others have said of each individual. They can also use MusoFinder’s tagging system to find musicians by location and what kind of music they prefer to play. They can then chat with them a bit before setting up an audition. The times of scouring music shops to find local musicians (and then not find them) is over.”

By the same token, he adds, musicians in need of a band or gigs can advertise their wares.

The new interface also allows members to go into any member's profile and rate them, he says, leave comments and read others’ comments, as well as click on a ratings percentage link. This is a really powerful community feature that will help musicians and bands in their search to find the perfect musician or band, he adds. The interface itself has also been improved to increase the speed of page loads and accuracy of tag searching.

About MusoFinder:
Founded in 2003 by musician, engineer and producer Stu Green, MusoFinder provides an online social forum for musicians and bands. Through it, musicians create profiles, place ads and communicate with one another, allowing them to form bands, get work and collaborate on music projects. According to Green he decided to create his Web site after looking around on the Internet for a place to find local musicians and finding none. He, too, is a musician and utilizes the site often to promote his own musical and sound engineering skills. For a detailed bio on Green visit http://www.musofinder.com/stoo.
