Filmmaker Kenneth Shaw's production "Wag On" advances to Steven Spielberg's "On the Lot" competition after receiving the "Best Comedy" award in Nashville's 48 hour film project.
Nashville, TN (PRWeb) March 4, 2007 -- Can you imagine being given only 48 hours to create a film? That was the challenge for rising filmmaker Kenneth Shaw who recently won the Best Comedy in Nashville's 48 Hour Film Festival Contest. Now the film has been entered into Steven Spielberg's reality TV show called "On the Lot." which premiers this year on FOX. Contestants will compete for the chance to win a $1-million development deal at DreamWorks.
"Wag On" was created based on the 48 Hour Film Festival's criteria of having to pick your genre from a hat and then include the following parameters: a kleptomaniac, a wagon, and a line of dialogue. Shaw shot the film in less than 24 hours, preceded to have a production meeting and barely had time to edit the project. "My wife and I raced to the drop off location and delivered our "Wag On" with only 7 minutes to spare," said Shaw. The 48 Hour Film Festival had a record number of 44 entries for this competition
