The Rosewood Country Inn is offering a special Mother/Daughter Weekend package, which includes two nights' lodging and fun activities for mothers and daughters to enjoy together. This award-winning Victorian inn offers spacious guests rooms, inviting common rooms, and a spacious backyard complete with a gazebo and a pond.
When mothers and daughters arrive on Friday night, there will be freshly prepared hors d'oeuvres waiting for them to enjoy. On Saturday morning, the Rosewood's florist, Vicki Simonds, will teach a workshop on fresh floral arrangements. Guests will make their own creation to take home as a reminder of their weekend away.
The highlight of the weekend will be a four-course Victorian High Tea at 5 p.m. on Saturday. There will be a prize awarded to the best hat worn to the tea. The menu will include an assortment of fancy tea sandwiches, chicken salad in phyllo cups, scones, Devonshire cream, Boursin chicken in a puff pastry, salad of baby field greens, and molten chocolate cake with chantilly cream and a raspberry sauce.
The Mother/Daughter Weekend also includes the Rosewood's signature candlelight & crystal breakfast each morning as well as discounts to Daniel's Restaurant in Henniker and the Tanger Outlets in Tilton.
The cost is $39 per person over the room rate, which starts at $129 per night. The Mother/Daughter weekends will take place May 4 to 6, 2007, and Mother's Day weekend, May 11 to 13, 2007.
