Nationally syndicated physician selects Northridge Systems to design portable heath record solution.

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) March 6, 2007 -- Northridge Systems, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, recently designed and deployed a health record USB drive application and associated web site for The Living Record.

The Living Record (www.thelivingrecord.com), founded by nationally syndicated columnist Dr. Mitchell Hecht, began as a visionary goal to improve the quality of patient care by providing up-to-date individual medical records stored on a USB Flash memory drive. The Living Record USB drive allows individuals to carry medical records on their person by attaching the drive to a keychain or necklace. The owner of the device has administrative control over their complete history of medical records and the data is easily accessible by health care officials in case of an emergency. This portable device makes great strides in reducing medical errors by serving as an accurate medical information repository for its owner.

Hecht added, This creates a whole range of applications for our product; from one-to-one sales, to a cost-saving employee benefit, to an innovative and powerful marketing tool. Northridge Systems built us a beautiful software application and web site.
Northridge Systems provided end-to-end services for The Living Record including design and deployment of both the USB drive application and the associated web site. Understanding the varying technology aptitude and age range of the end-user, Northridge Systems developed the application with a user-friendly interface and step-by-step user tutorial. The application features a document library, allowing for upload of various file types and storage of information such as lab reports, prescriptions, health insurance records, Living Will, MRI reports and more. More information regarding the product can be found on the companys website at http://www.thelivingrecord.com.

The Living Record founder Dr. Mitchell Hecht said, We looked to Northridge Systems for their superb expertise in helping us build ‘The Living Record - a software product that allows a person to create his/her complete health record and store it in a highly organized fashion on a small flash drive carried on their keychain. One of the best parts of The Living Record's design by the Northridge team is that it allows for customized advertising/marketing software to be embedded within the user screens." Hecht added, This creates a whole range of applications for our product; from one-to-one sales, to a cost-saving employee benefit, to an innovative and powerful marketing tool. Northridge Systems built us a beautiful software application and web site."

Rob Patten, President and CEO of Northridge Systems commented, Dr. Hecht is not only carrying a strong business platform to the market, he is also delivering a solution that will improve healthcare in this country and reduce the number of medical mistakes. Having accurate information at the fingertips of emergency personnel will improve the level of care provided to patients and ultimately save lives. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this effort, and we are excited to see the impact that The Living Record will have on the healthcare industry."
