New York, NY (PRWeb) March 6, 2007 -- BreakThru Radio (BTR), the Internet's voice of the World's Best Independent Music, announced today it will air a brand new specialty show from DJ Patrick, entitled "The Record Shop Show." Some say this business is a dying industry; it's not. I believe that communities all over the world will continue to support their local music sellers forever.
DJ Patrick's aim is to introduce BTR listeners to and educate them about a new outlet for finding great music: the record shop. To do this, he comprised a collection of songs made up of employee picks, local Nashville-area artists and best sellers, as well as live in-store performances.

"Contrary to popular belief, I believe that the record shop will always remain a sanctuary for music lovers," explains DJ Patrick. "Some say this business is a dying industry; it's not. I believe that communities all over the world will continue to support their local music sellers forever."

Grimey's New and Preloved Music was opened in 1999 in Nashville, TN. It has since become a staple in the Nashville music scene, with a prime location on 8th Avenue. The shop features the best selection of new and used CD's and vinyls and is well-known for impressive in-store performances by bands such as The Black Keys, Annuals, Danielson, Pete Yorn, Death from Above 1979 and The Privates. These bands are amongst the many bands featured on "The Record Shop Show."

"The Record Shop Show" premieres on BTR today and can be found in the website's embedded player. Listeners can download the show to their computer or mp3 player by visiting www.breakthruradio.com.
