The workshop is based upon the award winning, million selling book of the same title by authors Jim Kouzes, and Barry Posner.
First begun in 1983, The Leadership Challenge® has been experienced by more than 250,0000 leaders around the globe, with over one million individuals providing input into a highly acclaimed online assessment tool known as the Leadership Practices Inventory, or LPI. The initial exhaustive research by Kouzes & Posner, both professors at Santa Clara University at the time, asked a series of questions of ordinary leaders worldwide about their personal best experiences in leadership. The analysis of those findings led them to formulate The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, which both the book and the workshop revolve around.
