More and more schools across the nation are selecting MathScore to help improve student math proficiency. Since January of this year, the number of schools using MathScore has increased nearly 125% and schools from more than half of the 50 states have begun incorporating MathScore into their math curriculum to fill the gap in basic math skills proficiency.

Palo Alto, CA (PRWeb) March 15, 2007 -- More and more schools across the nation are selecting MathScore to help improve student math proficiency. Since January of this year, the number of schools using MathScore has increased nearly 125% and schools from more than half of the 50 states have begun incorporating MathScore into their math curriculum to fill the gap in basic math skills proficiency.

MathScore's topics for grades 2 through Algebra I meet and often exceed the revised standards set by the Curriculum Focal Points report released by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).

"There's still a ways to go when it comes to giving young learners the foundation they need, and the desire to stay with math their whole lives," says Francis "Skip" Fennell, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. The NCTM Conference, that begins March 21 in Atlanta, is a natural place for MathScore to showcase its patent-pending math environment.

Designed as a complete math tool that supplements any curriculum, MathScore is unique in its ability to adapt the difficulty of the math problems it generates to the skill level of each student. This makes MathScore suitable not only for remedial students but also for students who are ready to advance beyond grade level.

MathScore is a subscription-based math environment, accessed entirely through a password-protected account. Students can log into MathScore from any computer that has an Internet connection - at school, at home, or even the public library. Students, who log one 45-60 minute session on MathScore each week during the school year, typically complete more than 10,000 customized math problems independent of classroom instruction. The Internet-based environment means all worksheets are completed online, making MathScore a paperless tool that saves teachers many hours per month.

School administrators visiting MathScore at Booth #734 during the NCTM Conference can help their students improve basic math skills even over the summer. MathScore is offering school attendees a 2-month free trial subscription as well as a complimentary Launch Kit. By taking advantage of this offer and enrolling students before the end of the school year, students can log into MathScore over the summer from home and return to school in the fall at the top of their math game.
