One year ago, Discount Dance Supply, the leading online and catalog source for dancewear, invited website visitors to share their feedback regarding their purchases. In a communal effort, dancers rate products purchased from Discountdance.com and give opinions or advice, in the form of product reviews. Comments vary from a leotard's fit or a shoe's comfort, to informal debates about which toe pad works best.
"In February, the reviews were read 71,000 times," said John Miller, IT Director.
Over 14,000 reviews have been submitted to Discountdance.com since the launch of this feature. That number is expected to increase as new products are added.
"Reading the product reviews is the next best thing to actually trying it on yourself," says Sharreace Baldwin, Executive Assistant. "They're used as a tool, especially for dance novices and parents, to help decide what to buy."
Discount Dance Supply also encourages their retail store shoppers to submit their ratings and product reviews at the computer kiosks, inside the recently opened Discount Dance Supply Superstore.
