UK (PRWeb) March 19, 2007 -- DssW, the leading developer of Mac energy saving software, today announced the launch of Power Manager 3.6 for Mac OS X. Power Manager makes saving energy easy. Power Manager 3.6 introduces user interface improvements to give users greater control over their schedule. Professional users will appreciate Power Manager's expanded AppleScript interface, and new Automator actions.

"I am pleased with Power Manager's continuing growth," said Graham Miln, DssW's director. "I believe our refined AppleScript support in Power Manager 3.6 will delight those managing large deployments."

Power Manager's System Preference now supports importing and exporting complete schedules, and copying and pasting events. New drag and drop support provides a simple way of sharing schedule details.

AppleScript and Automator have both been improved and expanded to better support integration into automated workflows.

AppleScript support has been rewritten and includes both inline documentation and a guide packed with sample scripts.

Power Manager 3.6 includes new Automator actions to cancel, delay, and Quick Schedule events; start and stop the scheduler; get the next pending event; and filter events by name, type, or action.

Power Manager 3.6 also includes numerous bug fixes detailed in the release notes.

Power Manager helps schools, businesses, and homes save energy by automating their Macs. Users can schedule their Macs to start up or wake, shut down, restart, log out, switch to the login window, and sleep.

Power Manager scales from one Mac to ten thousand with ease and is suitable for managed environments.
