Aurora, ON (PRWeb) March 21, 2007 -- HR.com and Development Dimensions International (DDI) today announced that they have enhanced and expanded their partnership to allow HR.com members access to DDI’s OPAL® online performance and learning system. The new agreement will give HR.com’s Premier Members access to the just-in-time development/coaching solution. In addition, individual subscriptions and corporate subscriptions will be available for sale through HR.com’s online HR Marketplace.

“Today’s HR professionals face a critical challenge in being able to identify competency gaps and then train individual contributors and leaders to meet their development needs. Time and time again our members tell us that leadership skills are top priorities for them, which is why we are thrilled to offer our 135,000 plus community members’ access to OPAL,” says Debbie McGrath, CEO, HR.com.

OPAL can provide HR.com’s membership with a much needed tool for identifying needs and developing necessary competencies. We believe firmly that this strategic alliance will be able to deliver yet another valuable resource to the members of the HR.com community
As the largest online community of HR professionals, HR.com is dedicated to providing its members with the tools and resources they need to be more effective and efficient. OPAL is a complete online competency development and day-to-day resource that enhances employee performance. It provides a cost- and time-effective way for employees to receive just-in-time coaching and expert guidance on handling work situations and developing important business competencies.

Accessible via the Internet, OPAL consists of two learning components. The Advisor element provides a wide range of just-in-time practical guidelines for handling tough work situations. It also includes 300+ learning tools—checklists, road maps, planners, and intervention techniques—designed to help people apply what they learn on the job. The Developer component is an online mentor for professional development. It helps employees understand and gain skills in 39 important business competencies as well as develop job performance and career plans.

“OPAL can provide HR.com’s membership with a much needed tool for identifying needs and developing necessary competencies.
