New Art: MELTING: Let's Cool it. Help Stop Global Warming.

Good Nature Publishing http://www.goodnaturepublishing.com -- a small green publisher of natural history art based in Seattle Washington announces release of new poster to help activists stop global warming. Art created by award winning illustrator Dugald Stermer features a Polar bear sow and her cub on a melting iceberg. Good Nature Publishing Co. is previewing the art for the poster online at http://www.goodnaturepublishing.com

Seattle, WA (PRWeb) June 1, 2007 -- Polar bears are threatened with extinction by global warming in the next few years. American automobile exhaust, energy plants exhaust, and agriculture are prime factors in creating climate crisis.

To focus Americans attention on the urgent need to change energy and fossil fuel consumption, Good Nature Publishing Co. has set out to create new art that inspires awareness and encourages people to hope for a better day through direct and collective action. Portion of profits goes to non profits organizing people to create a just, sustainable world with fresh air and water, cleaner energy and brighter future for our children.

The art is meant to be a small contribution in efforts of citizens to stop global warming

"We wanted to link other species that are threatened -- and polar bears are loved by millions of people. They are the canary in the coal mine -- warning us that their habitat is changing so fast it is killing them due to global warming we have created."

The Center For Biological Diversity has a complete list of species at risk of extinction today: See http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/swcbd/species/index.HTML

Art changes lives, and shapes the way people think. "Art is not a mirror held up to reality but a hammer with which to shape it." -- Bertolt Brecht

This art is available to conservation groups at educational discounts.
