Art show to feature the art of Anne Salas
Orleans, MA (PRWeb) March 22, 2007 -- Welstar is kicking off spring with a big show of color and vibration. The art show, "Spring Vibrations" will feature the paintings of Anne Salas and will open with a public reception on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 5:30 pm and run until June 17, 2007. Welstar patrons will be able to view Salas' artwork throughout the spa's common areas and treatment rooms after the shows opening night.
Salas current body of work is focus on "floral portraits". Salas feels that, "Close observation, and spirited interpretation…inspire excitement and energy…." that will "create a feeling of joy in the viewer". Salas uses oil paint, oil stick, charcoal, graphite and the like on canvas - her favored mediums.
Educated at Temple University Tyler School of Art in PA, the Museum School in Boston, Goddard College in Vt, PAAM, Castle Hill, FAWC, Cape Cod. Salas has also studied with some the country's great painters on Cape Cod. Selina Trieff, Bob Henry (Hans Hoffman school), Jim Peters and Franny Golden.
Salas also contributes to those in need through the annual art auction at CCMFA and PAAM. She has exhibited her work at the Teichman Gallery in Brewster, CC Museum of Fine Art, Provincetown Museum of Fine Art, Cataumet Art Center and at J. Todd Galleries in Wellesley. There are also numerous private collections throughout the U.S.
