(PRWeb) April 3, 2007 -- SLAPPA (www.slappa.com), a leading manufacturer of high-quality digital storage cases, today announced the launch of its new, patented d2i interlocking page system, featuring SLAPPAs' patented d2i SLIDE-N-LOCK pages and the new series of d2i HardBody disc storage cases for CD and DVD storage.

slappa_hand2.jpgThis new line of d2i interlocking pages and cases builds on SLAPPAs popular d2 pocket system. The d2 pocket system is a layered pocket design that allows users to store discs and liner notes in dedicated pockets, a great way to replace plastic jewel cases and save space. Now with d2i interlocking pages, users get the d2 pocket system plus the newly patented d2i Flex*Rail system. This d2i Flex*Rail system enables each pocket square to slide-n-lock together. d2i is the first disc storage solution where one storage page can be used in virtually any environment, whether it is a binder, a drawer, a box or a shelf.

SLAPPAs' President, Dominick Martinetti, refers to d2i pages and cases as "SLAPPAs biggest product launch ever. Our SLAPPA HardBody storage cases have been very popular since they launched 3 years ago, yet many customers always asked us to make the pages removable. Our goal was to make a removable page that powered an entire storage system. We needed a page that was more flexible and universal then the binder style pages all the other companies' use, so our focus was on making each square pocket removable and "interlock-able". Now with d2i, users can ditch their jewel cases and store their discs and covers in a single page and this page can be used in virtually any storage environment, whether it's in binders, drawers, boxes. This is a very powerful system."

The d2i collection consists of SLAPPAs' award winning HardBody xEVA cases that can withstand water, fire, bumps and bangs. The d2i binder series is currently available in 40, 80 and 240 capacity cases, and true to SLAPPA form, each case has all the "little extras" that the company has become known for, including velvet lined interiors, industrial strength zippers with rubber molded zipper pullers, a disc cleaning cloth and a spine labeling system to sort and categorize collections.

One new model SLAPPA has introduced into the mix of d2i products is the PRO CRATE, which is the ultimate storage device for large disc collections and professional users. The d2i PRO CRATE incorporates SLAPPAs' removable inner boxes that allow users to easily shift and sort groups of discs, making storing and porting of selected discs easy. The PRO CRATE can easily store at least 105 d2i pages, meaning users can store at least 420 discs (or 210 discs + 210 covers). Additionally the PRO CRATE has a hide-away storage area which is large enough to hold a variety of electronics including a 17" laptop, headphones, cables and portable electronics.

"SLAPPAs' d2i system is certainly the most revolutionary product we have ever seen in the disc storage market" says Melanie Beers of Sam Ash Music. "SLAPPA has been an innovative partner of Sam Ash and I believe they are poised to revolutionize disk storage with this d2i technology."

SLAPPA intends to further broaden the product mix that utilizes the d2i flex rail system, and has plans to roll out d2i for DVD storage, office storage and drawer systems.
