ActiGraph, LLC Chairman Resigns to Accept SBA Associate Administrator Appointment

Dr. Paul Hsu resigns as Chairman of the Board at ActiGraph, LLC to accept Presidential appointment at the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Fort Walton Beach, FL (PRWeb) April 1, 2007 -- Dr. Paul S. Hsu, former Chairman of the Board of ActiGraph, LLC, has accepted a Presidential appointment as Associate Administrator for the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development for the U.S. Small Business Administration.

As the Associate Administrator, Dr. Hsu will direct the implementation of policies within the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development, including the HUBZone Empowerment Contracting program and the 8(a) Business Development Program.

Born in Taiwan, Dr. Hsu came to the United States in 1976. He obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Management and Systems Engineering from Central Missouri State University and a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from LaSalle University. In 1995, he completed a three-year Executive Educational Program at Harvard Business School.

During Dr. Hsu's tenure as Chairman of the Board, ActiGraph, LLC has served the research community in over 40 countries, earning its reputation as the gold standard in actigraphy monitors. Over the past several years, ActiGraph, LLC has witnessed dramatic market expansion as the applications for the science of actigraphy have grown to include not only physical activity research, but also sleep diagnostics, rehabilitation monitoring, obesity and diabetes research, sports medicine, pharmaceutical drug testing, and veterinary science.
