Alexandria, VA (PRWeb) April 1, 2007 -- The Carbon Project announces that its WFS and WMS extension to ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, CarbonArc Lite, is now available as a free, downloadable plugin.

The CarbonArc Lite plug-in will be freely available to all ArcGIS users with no limits, fees, or restrictions.

The release of the free CarbonArc Lite will immediately benefit government agencies and other ArcGIS users by providing them the ability to access to up-to-date, accurate, consistent framework data and other information.

CarbonArc Lite extends ArcGIS to use Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC) services and is the first module of the CarbonArc interoperability extension platform for ArcGIS.
