Marin Abused Women's Services (MAWS) Presents 'In Celebration of Mothers'

The law firm of Brayton Purcell is pleased to be a sponsor of "In Celebration of Mothers," a major fundraiser and luncheon put on by the Marin Abused Women's Services (MAWS). This event honors Mother's Day and marks the 30th anniversary of MAWS, an organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence.

San Rafael, CA (PRWeb) April 7, 2007 -- The law firm of Brayton Purcell is pleased to be a sponsor of "In Celebration of Mothers," a major fundraiser and luncheon put on by the Marin Abused Women's Services (MAWS). This event honors Mother's Day and marks the 30th anniversary of MAWS, an organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence.

The luncheon will be held at the Peacock Gap Country Club at 333 Biscayne Drive, San Rafael, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 11. Noted author Isabel Allende will be the key speaker. About MAWS

MAWS provides immediate emergency shelter to women and children fleeing violent situations. Its services include English and Spanish language hotlines, transitional housing, support groups and legal advocacy. MAWS has also created a 52-week education workshop for men to reduce violent behavior and a school program to address the problem of bullying.
