Young performer and DIY entrepreneur Tori Sparks brings her quirky blend of humor and raw emotion from Nashville to Los Angeles and Ireland

Los Angeles, CA (PRWeb) April 16, 2007 -- Tori Sparks' Spring 2007 tour is bringing her to L.A. for the first time, in conjunction with ASCAP's "I Create Music" Expo. Her stint in California will be followed by a brief tour of Ireland with Big Daddy and Red Hot Java. Tori's powerful voice, bizarre humor, and striking stage presence are the anchors of a dynamic live show that has taken her as far as Miami, Paris, London, and New York. Pre-release tracks from her upcoming album Under This Yellow Sun can be heard on LA Acoustic (KCSN 88.5FM) as well as on WRL 95.1FM in Waterford, Ireland. The album is being co-produced in Nashville by Sparks and David Henry (R.E.M., Ben Folds, Jill Sobule, The Cowboy Junkies, Yo La Tengo, Widespread Panic, Guster).

At only 23 years old, Tori has made her mark on the music scene through constant touring. She gained notoriety last year for her "Feed Your Soul Guitar" Tour that benefited the charitable organization Oxfam America. Tori recently opened her own record label (Glass Mountain Records) and publishing company (Hand Over Foot Publishing). Under This Yellow Sun will be her first release on Glass Mountain Records. Her first full-length album Rivers + Roads was picked up by radio stations in the U.S., Belgium, Australia, Canada, and England. The video by the same title was dubbed "Best Pop Video" by the Indie Gathering 2006, and is receiving airplay in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Dallas, Phoenix, as well as on military and commercial reels across the globe. The Village Voice called Sarasota native Tori Sparks "a knockout!"

Tori Sparks will be appearing at Genghis Cohen and The Cat Club in Los Angeles in April, as well as The Limerick City River Festival and the Watergate Theater in Ireland in May. Please see www.torisparks.com or www.myspace.com/torisparks for details and directions, as well as additional show dates and times. Free CD samplers will be given to the first 10 people in the door at each show.
