Fresno, CA (PRWEB) April 19, 2007 -- Dust off your recipe cards, pull out your mixing bowls and start preparing your favorite raisin recipes! Today, the California Raisin Marketing Board (CRMB) announces its search for America's most delicious raisin recipes.
Already thinking of your favorite raisin recipe? The 2007 California Raisins Wise Choices Recipe Contest kicked off March 9 and home cooks and bakers across the country are encouraged to enter their favorite recipes that include California natural or golden seedless raisins.
"California Raisins are an incredibly versatile ingredient and we know that top chefs use them to add flavor and something special to their signature dishes," said Karla Stockli, Vice President of Marketing for CRMB. "Now, we want to know how home cooks across the country use raisins in their favorite recipes."
A panel of esteemed judges, including California Raisin farmers and their families, will evaluate the recipe entries. In addition, Valerie Waters, celebrity personal trainer, will name the winner of the Valerie Waters Wise Choice Award for the healthiest, most flavorful recipe.
CALIFORNIA RAISINS CONTEST PRIZES:
The California Raisins Wise Choices Recipe Contest will run through 12:00 Midnight June 30, 2007. Prizes will include:
- One (1) Grand Prize of $10,000 cash
- One (1) 1st Prize gift package approx. value $2,000
