A Positive Twist to the Imus Aftermath: Love-Inspired Virtual Community and E-tailer LoveElectra.com Joins Oprah in her Call for Change

LoveElectra.com has issued a message of forgiveness and thanks to Don Imus for bringing light to the dialog so desperately needed in today's conflict-filled and hateful world. In their quest to further their "Time 4 Love" movement, LoveElectra.com is announcing their "Unity Begins With 'You' Sale" of positive T-shirts that feature quotes of love and unity.

(PRWEB) April 19, 2007 -- Recently, Oprah Winfrey featured a distinguished panel of columnists, authors, reverends, musicians, and others to discuss what should happen in the wake of the Don Imus controversy. The panel discussed not only outrage and indignation at the comments made by Imus about the Rutger's University women's basketball players, but also discussed steps needed for change. The resulting comments and quotes of love reflected a growing global movement that LoveElectra.com has been championing since its inception on Valentine's Day this year--a movement to show love to one another through both actions and words.

Unity Begins With 'You' Sale
Creator of the love-focused online community and E-commerce site LoveElectra.com, Kevin Vidal, explains, "After watching Oprah's April 16, 2007 show on 'After Imus: What Next', we confirmed once again that she 'has got it right'. She, like Love Electra, believes that in the Post Imus era we should be more focused on showing love to each other. When we show consideration for others in literature, movies, music, television, and everyday communication, we erode the barriers that may divide us. This is an exciting time ... for we can play a part in a new movement to return to love."

LoveElectra.com also announced a "Unity Starts With 'You' Sale" on their energy-cleared, positive T-shirts line. The sale is on all the cool, unique shirts with a theme of unity and will last until April 30, 2007.

Vidal also invites love-minded people to join the Love Electra virtual community on their MySpace page or through the many interactive features found on LoveElectra.com. He believes that through communication and sharing, the healing can begin.

"We agree that Imus' comments were inappropriate and insensitive, but he has apologized and should be forgiven, so that we can begin healing. We forgive Imus and thank him for igniting discussions on how we treat and refer to each other. He opened up a dialog that was long overdue on loving one another. We all have a responsibility to be kind, loving and respectful towards each other. Imus' comments have incited our recognition of this truth. Love Electra recognized that it was "A Time 4 Love" before the Imus incident and started our mission long before the incident. This unfortunate situation has energized discussions and movements on how we treat each other."

To find love-minded, positive T-shirts or to participate in the "Return to Love" movement supported by Love Electra, please visit LoveElectra.com. Or, stop by their MySpace page to leave inspired quotes of love.

Show Some Love T-Shirt
"We all need and want love. Therefore, if we show love in everything we do and with everyone we encounter, it is very likely that our love will be appreciated. The joy that our love brings to others, will motivate them to show love, as well as the ones that they show love to. Before long the love that we've shown, will circle right back to us," Vidal explains.
