E-pay Set to Revolutionise Online Freight Exchange Invoicing System - Easier, Faster and with Total Visibility

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Courier Exchange, the transport industry's 'freight dating' service is set to roll out their new e-pay service over the coming weeks. The new system promises a great solution for both courier companies and owner drivers saving them both time and money, as well as cutting down their paper trail. Its features include 24 hour invoice access, a clear view of payments due and an end to "lost invoices and missing PODs". Courier Exchange will be demonstrating the brand new system this week to existing clients and other transport industry figures at the 2007 Commercial Vehicle Show. London, UK (PRWEB) April 22, 2007 -- The 2007 Commercial Vehicle Show begins this week in Birmingham and with tens of thousands of transport industry figures expected to be in attendance there is no better time for a freight exchange company to unveil new technology. Courier Exchange has done exactly that, initiating parts of their new 'e-pay' system over the last few weeks, with the full service is expected to go live in the weeks following Britain's largest road transport industry event. The 2007 CV show presents a unique opportunity for owner drivers and other figures from the courier industry to see how this technology can streamline their business ahead of its full launch.

The new system allows members of the freight exchange system who have made a booking to instantly receive invoices, quickly and easily create payment schedules and raise queries against invoices. As approvals are sent directly to the sub-contractor through the freight exchange, there is no need to make pestering calls about payment, and the company plan to further save time by allowing invoices to be directly imported into customers' Sage purchase ledgers. There are similar time saving benefits for the sub-contractor with instant invoice delivery and the luxury of not needing to respond to questions on the road - all the electronic "paperwork" can be dealt with in their own time. The system also allows sub-contractors to see when an invoice has been approved to pay, and by what method of payment is required. "It's all about making our freight exchange easier to use," commented Lyall Cresswell, managing director of Courier Exchange. "Although the existing system has worked really well so far, we're always looking for ways to make the lives of our members easier, and I think this will definitely do that. Hopefully, this new feature of the website will ensure that lost invoices and missing PODs become a thing of the past."

"I can't think of a better place to display this new system than at the annual CV Show," he added.

Courier Exchange has been operating since 1999, and offers courier companies and owner drivers a unique online "freight-dating" service, where those who have cargo to move are matched up with those that have the means to deliver it. The company boasts over 1,500 transport exchange businesses linked through its system, ensuring that the vast majority of freight to shift gets "set up" with a member courier company or owner driver. With last year's Commercial Vehicle Show attracting 29,000 visitors representing all sectors of the transport industry, Courier Exchange are hopeful of adding more clients to their already impressive numbers. They will be happy to display all their services - including the brand new e-pay system - to current and new clients throughout the three days of the CV Show.

Spanning three days and over 90,000 square metres, the Commercial Vehicle Show is Britain's largest and most successful road transport industry event. It will once again be hosted at the NEC Arena, Birmingham, and will run from Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th April. Entry is free, and Courier Exchange will be on hand in hall 5, stand 5016 offering demonstrations of all the services that have ensured the company's impressive reputation within the courier industry.
