Technology, used by major car manufacturers, uses sensors for assessment.

Salina, KS (PRWEB) April 26, 2007 -- Conklin Cars, a car dealer with locations in Salina, Newton and Hutchinson, Kansas, recently announced the addition of Hunter Engineering R811 alignment systems to the company's automotive services arsenal. The latest in car alignment technology, the company acquired this equipment as part of Conklin's ongoing commitment to offering the very best in customer service. Visit the company's websites online for more information about Conklin Cars Salina (http://www.conklinsalina.com), Conklin Cars Newton (http://www.conklinnewton.com/) and Conklin Cars Hutchinson (http://www.conklinhutchinson.com).

The new equipment features DSP600 Digital Camera Wheel Sensors and is the same alignment system used by major automotive manufactures in their engineering, research and development, and training centers. DaimlerChrysler, Toyota, Ford, General Motors, and American Honda, all use the same Hunter Engineering equipment and technology.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve services for our customers
The Hunter Engineering R811 alignment system combines cutting edge equipment and software to maximize precision and accuracy for customers' car re-alignment. Four permanently mounted, high-resolution digital video cameras constantly monitor the technician's progress toward properly aligning the vehicle by scanning the wheel-mounted alignment target on each wheel.

This information is displayed in real-time on a computer monitor, providing the technician with the information needed to quickly and accurately adjust the wheels' alignment. WinAlign, the software component, complements the system with an extensive database of alignment specification information for various makes and models of new and used cars. The technician is also supplied with extensive training and technical support data to further improve accuracy. And because there is no calibration or electronics, no cables and no batteries, the technician can complete the process more quickly.

Proper car alignment offers several benefits to customers, including better safety and handling of the vehicle, extending the life of the tires and maintaining optimal gas mileage. With the Hunter Engineering R811 alignment system, customers using the Conklin Cars service department can expect better accuracy for better alignment as well as less time spent waiting for the return of their vehicle.

"We are constantly looking for ways to improve services for our customers," says Scott Conklin, president of Conklin Cars. "Hunter Engineering is a leader in the industry, and we want only the very best for our customers, so it's natural that we would add their alignment systems to enhance our service department's capabilities."
