Bless•This•Day Expo is the First and Only Catholic Wedding, Anniversary & Quinceañera Expo in the Nation

With 69 million Catholics in the US celebrating over 215 thousand weddings a year a new expo has come on the scene especially geared towards Catholics planning milestone celebrations in their lives such as a Wedding, Anniversary or Quinceañera.

San Jose, CA (PRWeb) April 11, 2007 -- Bless·This·Day Expo being held in San Jose, California, is the first expo ever in the US geared towards Catholics planning milestone celebrations in their lives such as a Wedding, Anniversary or Quinceañera. The audience is huge considering there are over 69 million Catholics in United States celebrating over 215 thousand Catholic weddings a year. This number does not include Anniversaries or Quinceañeras celebrated with church ceremonies because in the Catholic Church only weddings which are considered a Sacrament are officially recorded. Couples are required to attend preparatory classes sometimes up to six months ahead of time.

This show will feature the usual array of vendors such as photographers, limousines, caterers, travel agencies and other businesses that cater to the estimated 72 billion dollar wedding industry. But what's so different about the Bless·This·Day Expo are the workshops answering the questions brides and others ask and research most while planning their celebrations. Instead of a fashion show of dresses, attendees will be able to learn about the symbolism and tradition of different ethnic customs from Mexico/Latin America, Vietnam and the Philippines. Experts will help with everything from picking out songs and scriptures for the ceremony to planning a mixed faith wedding.

"A Catholic wedding is not just an event but a Sacrament," says event producer, Darlene Tenes, "these are not people who are running off to Vegas on a whim to get married, but take the vow of Matrimony very seriously."

Exhibitors have jumped on board this first time event, knowing that couples and families that plan faith-based celebrations spend twice as much money on florals, music, transportation and other services because the event usually takes place at two separate locations, the church and reception. Also, Catholics notoriously have larger families, which equals more guests.

The Bless This Day Expo will be taking place on Sunday April 15, 2007 from 9:00am-6:00pm at the Trinity Center at Most Holy Trinity Parish located at 1940 Cunningham Avenue San Jose, California 95122. For more information go to www.BlessThisDayExpo.com or call (408) 280-0435.
