Services allows users to text any question from their mobile phones, answered by real people.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 19, 2007 -- The Mosio Project (www.mosio.com) announced its flagship product, Mosio, a free mobile messaging service delivering people-powered mobile search through text messaging from almost any phone and US carrier.

Mosio enables Members on the go to execute mobile searches to find places to eat, drink and shop, getting search results via other Mosio Members. Registration is free.

We are glad to have the San Francisco Chapter of EWB be an initial benefactor of The Mosio Project. The service is great and its success will contribute to much needed funding of the projects on which we are working
The Mosio Project is a cause related company, raising awareness and finances for technology and engineering organizations helping those in need and has contribution goals of $2 million by the end of fiscal year 2010. "No other mobile services are offering this kind of usability with a percentage of the sale going towards good causes. We are excited that Mosio is able to deliver an excellent product while benefiting the greater good through technology," said Noel Chandler and Jay Sachdev, Mosio Project co-founders. "The technology is helpful, fun and users can personalize their experience with the product, making it truly synergistic with their mobile lifestyles."

Offering something for every mobile user, along with the "Text Any Question" mobile search, Mosio has dozens of additional products, including the ability to receive horoscopes, news headlines and entertainment info, creating custom keywords to fetch information and "Lost Phone", a function that sends specific messages to a misplaced phone so it can be returned to the owner as quickly as possible.

Through its mission to raise $2 million by end the year 2010, The Mosio Project hopes to raise money and awareness for the work being done by organizations such as Engineers Without Borders and Wherever The Need. "Cause marketing up to this point has been done primarily in the consumer packaged goods industry and we're hopeful that the introduction of this way of contributing into the technology sector will open doors for other industries, setting a positive example for all areas of commerce," said Chandler. The Mosio project chooses project-based organizations so specific technology and engineering programs can be targeted. "We are glad to have the San Francisco Chapter of EWB be an initial benefactor of The Mosio Project. The service is great and its success will contribute to much needed funding of the projects on which we are working," said David Youmans, President, Engineers Without Borders, San Francisco Professional Chapter.
