Aspiring film makers are asked to create a 90-second video demonstrating innovative use of Visual Voicemail for Email, Visual Voicemail Widgets and Text Widgets – top winner receives cash prize.

Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) May 15, 2007 -- CallWave, Inc. (NASDAQ:CALL) today announced the launch of its Video Contest, challenging users of its Visual Voicemail and Text Messaging services to put an original spin on how their favorite CallWave tools, such as the Visual Voicemail for Email or Text Messaging Widget, have made life easier by simplifying everyday communications. One winner will be selected to win a $499.99 cash prize and have his or her video posted on CallWave.com and popular user-generated video sites, such as YouTube.com and Break.com.

“From work to play, CallWave services simplify everyday communications, whether using Visual Voicemail for Email to listen to your boss’ voicemail via the PC or sending a free SMS to your girlfriend with our desktop widgets,” said Kelly Delany, VP of Corporate Communications at CallWave, Inc. “After receiving positive feedback from our customers, we realized these stories were too good to keep to ourselves. This Video Contest is our chance to celebrate all the ways in which CallWave makes life better.”

CallWave’s Services Suite
The company’s current offerings include:
*   Visual Voicemail & Text Messaging Widgets: These free, easy-to-use desktop widgets and gadgets enable users to manage mobile phone voicemail and send text messages to virtually anyone, anywhere from the convenience of their computer. Widgets are innovative and powerful tools that keep important services at a user’s fingertips on the desktop.
*   Visual Voicemail for Email: This free service sends a copy of mobile phone voicemail messages to users’ email – enabling them to see, sort, listen and respond to messages from their in-box. The caller’s name, number and message length are displayed in the subject line, making it easy to identify which message to listen to first. Users can then play, pause, replay, save, forward or delete the message. Users can also reply, via text or callback, right from the PC.
*   Voice to Text Transcription: CallWave will soon launch a voicemail transcription service, Vtxt™. Incorporating CallWave’s proprietary speech recognition and WEB 2.0 visual voicemail technology, Vtxt transforms mobile voicemail into readable, searchable and storable content – allowing users to read the gist of their voicemail on the handset, manage and reply to voice and text messages from a personal web page, and search a permanent archive of voice and text messages.
*   Visual Voicemail Desktop Client: A robust desktop environment that enables users to manage and archive their call activity and complex calling community. Users can hear, respond, and screen calls in real-time, while auto-populating a PC-based contact log and address book.
