DVD of "The Derby Stallion" starring actor Zac Efron (High School Musical) is now available along with the "Race for the Gold" contest where fans have the opportunity to win Zac Efron's prop items from the film.

"The Derby Stallion" a movie produced by Tonja Walker Productions owned by Actress/Producer Tonja Walker which also plays the role of Patrick McCardle's (Zac Efron) mother in the film. Zac Efron was filmed in "The Derby Stallion" 6 months prior to "High School Musical's" filming. The movie was his first leading role ever. Zac also just recently made PEOPLE Magazine's 100 most beautiful people and will be in this summers re-make film of "Hairspray" starring John Travolta.
Fans have an opportunity to win some of Zac's prop items from the "The Derby Stallion" through the "Race for the Gold" contest currently being held at www.TheDerbyStallion.com. The contest winner will receive the Gold Cup Trophy and Zac's Jockey Outfit from the film. Also, the winner will receive photo recognition on the games on "The Derby Stallion" website.
"Race for the Gold" Contest is currently in progress and still is accepting entries. The contest began May 17th at 12:00 a.m. The winner will be the one with the highest points racked up by playing "The Derby Stallion" games. Additional bonus points can be earned through other activities within the site. The player with the highest points will be the ultimate winner with 2nd and 3rd place prizes to follow. Contest will conclude on June 4th at midnight and on June 5th another contest will launch where the winner can win a trip to Hollywood, California.

The film also features some of Billy Preston's final recordings made special for the film. Preston also played a small role in the film along side veteran actor Bill Cobbs which also plays a lead character in the film. Billy Preston sadly passed on only months after production.
