Turners Falls, MA (PRWEB) May 26, 2007 -- 194 of the 214 students that began the intensive 10-month program of study at Hallmark Institute of Photography in September 2007, will present their Year-end Portfolios to a panel of working professional photographers for review. Successful submission and completion of this final portfolio assignment is mandatory to graduate.

Hallmark's President, George J. Rosa III, acknowledges, "I'm proud of the accomplishments of the students representing Hallmark's Class of 2007. The fact that 91% of the students who began our rigorous program back in September have persevered, and are in a position to successfully complete their education here at Hallmark and begin their careers in professional photography, is a true testament to the hard work and determination of all involved, students, staff and faculty alike."

The Portfolio Review process provides Hallmark students with the opportunity to have their work viewed by a panel of guests representing today's working professional photographers. The objective of this panel is clear and simple, to determine whether the portfolio being viewed meets the criteria of an "entry-level" portfolio. Does it exhibit basic control of the technical and artistic skills of professional photography? The panel of working professional photographers who will review the student's portfolios represents over seventy combined years of a wide variety of experience and knowledge in today's professional imaging industry.

Pauline St. Denis, http://paulinestdenis.com, has been shooting advertising, fashion editorial, music, celebrity and fine art for the past twenty years. She also directs both television and video.

Bobbi Lane, http://bobbilane.com, a photographer for more than twenty-five years, specializing in creative portraits, travel and stock photography. She is also known for teaching on a national and international level.

David Silver, http://silverphoto.com, a commercial photographer, focuses his talent toward on location shoots, portraiture and commercial product work. In the imaging business for 25 years, there is little he has not photographed.

Hallmark Institute of Photography provides a real world, serious approach to professional photographic education, where training is completed within ten months. Its objective is to successfully educate and graduate professional image-makers with the technical, artistic and business skills necessary for success. Upon completion of the 10-month program, graduates can expect to open their own photographic business or fill preliminary or advanced employment positions in the diverse and competitive marketplace of today's professional imaging industry. Hallmark uses only the most up-to-date technology, highly experienced and qualified staff, and a logical and realistic set of standards and processes, providing each student with the tools they need to succeed.
