NCH Software announces the release of video and screen capturing software, Debut. A small, but powerful video recorder allows the user to record from their webcam or capture virtually anything on their screen and save to a popular video format.

Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) May 31, 2007 -- NCH Software, specialists in video and business software, announced the release a new freeware application, Debut Video Recorder.

We're confident that this application is going to be as successful as it's audio counterpart
"This software application even surprised us," said Stephanie Lee, sales manager for the Australian based company. "We wanted to mimic our very successful audio recording application, RecordPad, with the specifications to provide a small, powerful and very stable recorder for video input devices such as a webcam. When we added the ability to record activity on a computer screen, basically screen capture, it opened up a whole other world of possibilities because not only can you record screen movements for uses such as online tutorials, you can capture virtually anything that is displayed on your screen and save it as a video file, similar to what a streaming audio recorder, like SoundTap, does for audio."

Debut is packed full of functionality for such a small application including multiple video and audio encoder settings, ability to adjust resolution and framerate of the output video and the color settings for the output video can be changed to suit the user's preferences. It also allows the user to record for set specified durations (h:mm:ss) and mirror recordings to a network or backup drive to keep video files safe. Video files can then be sent automatically via email or FTP once the recording is completed if required.

"We're confident that this application is going to be as successful as it's audio counterpart," commented Stephanie, "and since it is currently a freeware application, we expect it to be quite popular from the outset."

The Debut Video Recorder is part of a growing range of video and business applications created by NCH Software including Prism Video Converter, Eyeline Video Surveillance and BroadCam, a video streaming server.

NCH Software is a leader in business audio technology. Since 1993 the software development team has released more than 40 Windows, Mac, Palm and Pocket PC applications which are now leaders in their classes and have been awarded for software excellence. The programmers work as, or closely with, sound engineers every day and therefore are able to offer the highest level of expertise and understanding of audio. See NCH Software or NCH Swift Sound for more information.
