Understanding and Implementing RosettaNet Business Process Standards.
"Improving trading partner collaboration is critical in the high tech sector because products are sourced globally and companies and their suppliers need to work together seamlessly to transact commerce with speed and precision," said Herman Stiphout, the President of RosettaNet. "Because RosettaNet provides these companies with a strong foundation of standards, the Global Community Summit provides users and prospective users with the opportunity to get educated and updated so they can maximize the value of RosettaNet in their own supply chains."

The week-long event will bring together supply chain professionals from some of the world's best-known high technology companies to provide updates and best practices on the use of RosettaNet standards in their global trading networks. A partial list of registered participating companies include: Amkor Technology; Arrow Electronics; Avago Technologies; Cisco Systems; DHL; Ericsson; Hewlett Packard; IBM; Intel; Marvell Semiconductor; Motorola; National Semiconductor; NEDA; Nokia; Otsuka Corporation; Samsung Electronics Semiconductor; Seagate Technology; Shinko; Siltronic; Sony Corporation; STMicroelectronics; Toshiba; and webMethods.

The event will feature a Computer and Consumer Electronics/Electronic Product Code (EPC) working group, a Global Partner and Champions Forum, and meetings of the organization's five key user Councils: the Electronic Components Council; the Semiconductor Manufacturing Council; the Telecommunications Council; the Logistics Council; and the Solution Provider Council. In addition, the Summit will offer a two-day training session entitled "Understanding and Implementing RosettaNet Business Process Standards." The course will provide attendees a comprehensive overview of RosettaNet standards, its technical components and architecture, and guidelines to assist companies on implementing RosettaNet standards for their own supply chain processes.
