easys Tapas & Martinis to sponsor the "easy riders" cycling team to ride in the Valero MS 150 Bike to the Beach on October 20-21, 2007. The bike tour is a two-day cycling adventure from San Antonio to Corpus Christi that raises funds to benefit The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Beaumont, Texas (PRWEB) June 2, 2007 -- Calling all cyclists - easys tapas & martinis is inviting anyone up for the challenge of an amazing bike tour for a good cause to join their sponsored team, the "easy riders," to participate in the Valero MS 150 Bike to the Beach. The bike tour is a two-day cycling adventure from San Antonio to Corpus Christi that raises funds to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), and will be held Oct. 20-21.
An easy riders kick-off party will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at easys, 2325 Calder in Beaumont. The party will serve to recruit cycling team members, from beginners to active cyclists, and raise funds to support the bike tour and the The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
According to Team Captain and easys Owner Wayne Ingwersen, joining the easy riders provides a great way to get fit and stay healthy while sharing good times with friends. Interested riders are encouraged to become a "pedal partner," which allows them to ride in the name of someone they know with MS.
Ingwersen began bicycle riding after suffering a heart attack in 2004. That same year he became involved with the ride supporting MS, and has ridden in the BP MS 150 for the last three years. Ingwersen attributes his commitment to the MS 150 to many reasons. "Training and then riding with a group on a two-day ride is a great team builder," he said. "Riding is great for your health, and what a great way to raise money to fight this disabling disease!"
Information on warm-up rides will be posted from now until the event so participants can get in shape and be prepared for the tour. There are many ways to support the cause: by serving as a volunteer, a rider, sponsoring a rider, or donating directly to the Multiple Sclerosis society. For more information on the easy riders or to sign up, contact Ingwersen at (409) 749-0134 or easy @ easysonline.com, or visit www.easysonline.com. "Let's help find the cure for MS!"
