The first annual Baby Celebration LA boasted literally thousands of excited attendees including expectant and new parents and grandparents, many who waited over two hours for the highly anticipated show to open. "It was really fun to wait in line with hundreds of other pregnant and new moms just like me. The best part...we got a gift bag filled with expensive goodies. I wasn't expecting that!" relayed Heide How of San Diego.
The colorfully appointed aisles at Baby Celebration LA were packed shoulder to shoulder with a variety of excited shoppers searching for the must-have something special for their cherished under five year olds. "I think I spoke with at least 1,000 expectant moms on Saturday" said Nedra Fabito of Silver Cross.
Standing room only was the expected norm at several show features as moms, dads, babies and buggies all scurried to find a seat for Rachel Coleman from the popular PBS series Signing Time! and to learn tips & tricks from sleep experts Jill Spivack and Jennifer Waldburger co-founders of Sleepy Planet. Tiny celebrities-to-be were in the making as whimsical toddler designs from Shilav, TUTU CUTE, Gigis, Livie and Luca, Lil' Squirtz, KIDCOSMIC, Yahzi Rose, Skipping Hippos, and Beesqueaky Shoes among others were charmingly presented to proud parents and thousands of enchanted onlookers as the Baby Celebration LA Fashion Show Stage was transformed into a Fairytale Fashion Extravaganza.
Baby Celebration LA boasted several celebrity sightings as Jenna Elfman, Ali Landry, Nicole Sullivan and Stella Reid of Nanny 911 perused the eye-popping baby accouterments from organic baby food by Bohemian Baby to customized quilts by Baby Fabulous. The captivating Nursery Design Vignettes sponsored by Pregnancy Magazine enveloped the Baby Celebration LA crowd. Elegance and stunning grace wowed those attending the maternity fashion show that featured pregnancy and post pregnancy designs from [bump babies, 2 Chix Maternity, Mia Bossi, Glamajama, LLC, MetroMamma, Mamatotowear, Baby Kaed, L'ovedbaby, Rockin' Baby Shop to name a few. This stunning showcase was spectacularly hosted by Renae Plant Founder of [bump babies.
Baby Celebration LA's Producers, Penny Domschot and Patrice Meluskey promised to combine the various aspects of trade and consumer shows in an atmosphere attractive to both consumers and retailers alike. The unique characteristics of Baby Celebration LA ensured lucrative possibilities for all segments of the baby and toddler industries. Baby Celebration LA 2008 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center April 12 and 13. Reservations will open for exhibit space June 1, 2007.
