BingoScotland.com rejects claims that the online bingo industry will see an overwhelming uplift after the English smoking ban.
We saw a small burst in March 2006 when the Scottish ban came in but you have to remember, many of the bingo hall smokers are older and will not make an easy transition to online. With the English ban mid summer and the many more bingo sites available today, any operator excepting to see a noticeable lift will be disappointed

(PRWEB) June 4, 2007 -- BingoScotland.com, Scotland's biggest bingo site, has dismissed claims that the forthcoming smoking ban in England will see a rush of players move online. A spokesperson for Bingo Scotland said "We saw a small burst in March 2006 when the Scottish ban came in but you have to remember, many of the bingo hall smokers are older and will not make an easy transition to online. With the English ban mid summer and the many more bingo sites available today, any operator excepting to see a noticeable lift will be disappointed"

Bingo Scotland has also confirmed the re-launch of its software. The Scottish site has added slots and other instant games for the first time in its history. The move comes after a large slice of new members requested the additional games.

Although a standalone community and game, Bingo Scotland is part of the Think Bingo family which includes ThinkBingo.com and Think Bingo Plus. A spokesperson for Bingo Scotland said: "We felt that the site's Scottish community and chat moderators is what makes Bingo Scotland unique. Adding slots in no way dilutes that but simply provides more gaming choices for our members. As far as I know, ThinkBingo.com has no intention of adding slots. They remain unique in their bingo-only approach"

Bingo Scotland pays out over £25,000 per day across its five bingo rooms.
