Mike Karkeh Set to Executive Produce Alliance Group Entertainment's Latest Film
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 3, 2007 -- After a stellar showing at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival market, Alliance Group Entertainment secured international distribution for its properties "Confessions of a Pit Fighter," and "Lake Dead," and teased the international audience with the trailer of the highly anticipated action thriller "Hotel California." Alliance Group Entertainment prepares to start production on its latest feature film, "Farmhouse," (Current working title).
On Monday June 4, 2007, Alliance Group Entertainment will start production on its latest feature film project, the psychological thriller, "Farmhouse", starring Steven Weber (Wings, The Shinning), Kelly Hu (X-Men: United), William Lee Scott (Pearl Harbor), Jamie Brown (The Notebook), Sam Sarpong (MTV's Yo Momma), Drew Sidora (Step up), Jack Donner (Star Trek, The Invisible), and Adair Tishler (Heroes).
Farmhouse revolves around a young married couple, Chad (William Lee Scott), and Scarlet (Jamie Brown), who are plagued by a horrible and tragic secret. They head west to leave their past behind them and start over. But as the couple drives through the desolate mid-west towards their new, they suffer a horrific car accident and come into the care of a mysterious country couple, Samael (Steven Weber) and Arlene (Kelly Hu). A fast paced cat and mouse game ensues as the country couple turn on their new guests.
Drac Studios, a two time Oscar winning company which has received Academy Awards for achievement in make-up (won for Mrs. Doubtfire and Bram Storker's Dracula) has been recruited by Alliance Group Entertainment to provide all the special-effects make-up for Farmhouse. Drac Studios has also received several Academy Awards nominations for their work on films such as: Pirates of the Caribbean, Passion of the Christ, and Titanic. George Bessudo will direct Farmhouse, with Mike Karkeh (executive producer of Confessions of A Pit Fighter, Lake Dead, and Hotel California) of` Alliance Group Entertainment serving as executive producer. Harvey Lowry and Todd Tucker of Drac Studios are also associate producers on the film.
Farmhouse will film in Los Angels and Bradley, California June 4, through June 30, 2007.
