With the breakthrough legislation AB32, California's Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has driven the state to be a leader in the fight against global warming. Telepresence solutions are at the forefront of this effort, allowing more businesses to reduce their travel time and consumption of fossil fuels ultimately reducing greenhouse gas emissions and curtailing global warming. While advocating for an environmentally safe state, Governor Schwarzenegger is also paying attention to its economy.

In addition to his energy legislation and economic plans, one of Governor Schwarzenegger's largest sponsorships was the formation of the Los Angeles Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC) founded by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security. JRIC has deployed BrightCom's environmentally friendly telepresence and web conferencing technologies in an effort to not only enhance their collaboration on national security and terrorism, but also to reduce excess travel costs and resources.

Cameron Durckel has worked in the San Diego community for over 13 years. He most recently served as the chief of staff for San Diego County Supervisor Ron Roberts. In that position he worked with supervisors, county agencies, and community members to develop effective policies and legislative agendas. Durckel has severed in every level of state government and nearly every elected office including his position as appointments secretary for San Diego Mayor Susan Golding from 1997 to 1998 and as deputy director for Governor Pete Wilson's San Diego office.
