Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 5, 2007 -- Tim Mangan of TMurgent Technologies and Kevin Kaminski of Big Hat Group are pleased to formally announce the formation of a new partnership focused on developing training and other materials for customers of Microsoft SoftGrid. SoftGrid from Microsoft provides a platform for application virtualization to solve application conflicts and reliably deliver standard applications on demand to users without modifying the underlying operating system. The primary purpose of this technology is to simplify and overcome application management challenges in an enterprise environment as a result reducing the costs associated with application management and provisioning in enterprise environments. SoftGrid is Microsoft's premier application virtualization technology for desktop and terminal server environments.

GridMasterTraining.com has developed the first independent courseware for advanced SoftGrid training, and will continue to focus on further refinements and additional materials. The focus is to provide in-depth and accurate information that covers not only the text book knowledge associated with the SoftGrid platform but include the real world challenges implementing the technology. Although GridMasterTraining will not be offering courses directly, these materials would be used by qualified trainers who are licensed by GridMasterTraining.com. The first licensees' of these materials to be publicly announced are Tim Mangan and Kevin Kaminski.

The first class to use the new courseware was held the week of May 7-11 in Evansville Indiana hosted by Q-Comm and included participants from three Q-Comm companies: nGenX of Overland Park, Kansas; Norlight of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Cinergy Communications of Evansville, Indiana. "These guys just rock!" says James Derk, Director of Operations and Technology at nGenX. "Tim Mangan is the Pete Townshend of the SoftGrid world. He was with Softricity early on to build the platform and created the first SoftGrid training program for the company. He knows that product inside and out."

"Kevin comes in with all this practical experience from supporting and implementing the product for a number of customers." said Greg Martin, Applications Manager at nGenX. "His tips are invaluable to help our guys hit the ground running". "We now know exactly what it will take to roll out SoftGrid enabled applications in our ASP Data Center."

GridMasterTraining.com's material focuses on essentials such as SoftGrid server architecture, installation considerations, sequencing environment basics and sequencing standards. Beyond the basics are topics intended to make your implementation successful from day one such as sequencing for ActiveUpgrade, hybrid sequences, scripting for SoftGrid and application management processes. Parties interested in attending these training sessions should visit GridMasterTraining.com for more information.

TMurgent Technologies, based in Canton MA (USA) provides products and services to the Server Based and Alternative Computing markets.

Big Hat Group, based in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) provides Softgrid implementation expertise as well as a variety of services surrounding desktop, server and application management.
