New features further accelerate EDC deployment and study close.

Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) June 13, 2007 -- With one of the industry’s fastest deployment times for electronic data capture (EDC) software, TrialStat Corporation, a clinical data solutions on demand company, today announced enhancements to ClinicalAnalytics 4.0™ (CA), the company’s EDC solution.

The new features and enhanced capabilities include integrated dictionary management, real-time patient milestone reporting and form re-use. CA already boosts EDC deployment times that are nearly twice as fast as the industry average using its innovative 100% browser-based study configuration tools. The additional features further improve the speed of starting and completing a study, while optimizing its management and performance.

As always, our customers have played a pivotal role in defining this latest set of CA features that improve the speed, reporting and performance of their studies
Details of the new features include:

  • Dictionary Management – This new capability automates the management and integration of standard and customized coding dictionaries, enabling users to access and maintain coded records of patient safety data. MedDRA and WhoDRUG standard dictionaries, for instance, can be uploaded for use in a study to enable researchers to conduct statistical analysis of adverse events or concomitant medications. In addition to standard dictionaries, customers can create and upload existing custom dictionaries.
  • Form Reuse – CA can be uploaded for use in a study to manage standard and customer-created form libraries that allow users to re-use existing eCRFs to accelerate study start up. Customers can copy forms from single studies to a standard form library, where they can be modified or reused in new studies.
  • Patient Milestone Reporting – Enhancements to this feature provide users a reporting engine with a drag and drop interface to create a more global view of patient timelines to better manage scheduling and overall study performance. color coded reporting periods, for example, provide an easy-to-use management tool to gauge timeline commitments to study protocols for patient visits.

“As always, our customers have played a pivotal role in defining this latest set of CA features that improve the speed, reporting and performance of their studies,” said Jonathan Barker, President and CEO, TrialStat Corporation. “Because of our on demand delivery model, these features will be seamlessly delivered through the Web to provide our customers with enhanced capabilities instantaneously without the need to engage expensive personnel to upgrade software or IT infrastructure.”

CA delivers speed, performance and a host of industry-leading capabilities to give customers the power and flexibility they need to get their clinical trials started quickly and cost effectively through the Web. CA 4.0 also integrates the web and flexible data capture technologies, including image-based forms and handheld devices. It is the first EDC platform to allow all aspects of the study to be configured, deployed and managed through a browser-based interface.

CA new features will be available to customers on July 13.
