Hot Peppers Supercharge Nasal Irrigation & Neti Pots

While nasal rinsing has been around for thousands of years in a Yoga practice known as Jala Neti, one nutraceutical manufacturer has invented a new way to irrigate the sinuses resulting in powerful relief.

Albany, NY (PRWEB) June 25, 2007 -- While physicians and pharmacists recommend nasal irrigation to fight off sinus infections and allergy symptoms, millions of people have only recently discovered the benefits of nasal rinsing thanks to a recent demonstration on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Over the past five months, drug stores and health food shops can barely keep neti pots and nasal rinse kits in stock. As nasal irrigation continues to grow in popularity, one nutraceutical manufacturer has created a brand new way to rinse your sinuses using of all things - the essence of hot peppers.

SiCap Industries is best known for producing Sinus Buster, the first line of hot pepper (Capsaicin) nasal sprays designed to relieve headache, sinus and allergy symptoms. Now the company has created another first in the hot pepper business with their launch of Sinus Genie, an all natural capsaicin based liquid that can be added to any saline nasal rinse, or even plain water.

Almost everyone in the meeting commented how traditional neti pots look like Genie lamps. That's when it hit us - Sinus Genie. Not only does the name fit the consumer market, but it also describes the effectiveness of the product. Sinus Genie really supercharges your nasal rinsing regimen, and it leaves you breathing free all day long. This Genie grants wishes of the sinus nature
"All you do is add one dropperful to your favorite nasal rinse. It works great in straight water too, and there's no burning at all. It really takes neti pot rinsing to the next level, and cleans you out like nothing else can," says Scott Latella, National Sales Manager for SiCap Industries.

According to Latella, his company came up with the Sinus Genie name during a team brain storming session.

"Almost everyone in the meeting commented how traditional neti pots look like Genie lamps. That's when it hit us - Sinus Genie. Not only does the name fit the consumer market, but it also describes the effectiveness of the product. Sinus Genie really supercharges your nasal rinsing regimen, and it leaves you breathing free all day long. This Genie grants wishes of the sinus nature," Latella jokes.

Along with a touch of cayenne pepper extract, Sinus Genie also contains natural herbals such as Lemongrass and Spearmint combined in a purified saltwater base. In the coming weeks, SiCap is also introducing a crystallized version of Sinus Genie that combines essential oils and other herbals with natural fine grain Caribbean Sea Salt. According to SiCap officials, Sinus Genie has already been pre-sold to several chain stores and hundreds of independent retailers making it the company's most successful product launch to date.
