WipBox Mobile Taps Into eBay and Craigslist to Send Free Price Comparisons via SMS, Empowering Shoppers to Make More Informed Purchasing Decisions While on the Go.

San Jose, Calif. (PRWEB) July 16, 2007 -- WipBox, a company that makes it easier to sell on eBay and Craigslist, today announced WipBox Mobile, a free mobile version of its price comparison service that allows people to check current and average prices of items listed on eBay or Craigslist through SMS messaging.

WipBox Mobile offers free instant price comparisons for any item using data from the last seven days of sales on eBay and Craigslist. eBay data is accessed through DataUnison, eBay's first and only Market Data Reseller. WipBox users can text WipBox and the item's name to 44636 to instantly get average and high prices for items in their local area. It allows them to compare prices on items from a local department store, a garage sale or a thrift store with the price of that item online.

Launched as a beta service in April 2007, WipBox simplifies listing items for sale on eBay and Craigslist by pre-populating listing information and suggesting prices and categories based on prior successful sales. Listing an item on eBay or Craigslist through WipBox saves users as much as 10 minutes per item. By providing manufacturer descriptions and user reviews powered by Amazon.com, free unlimited photo hosting services and an integrated photo editor, WipBox gives users the flexibility to post items directly to eBay or Craigslist far more quickly and easily.

WipBox is a member of the eBay Developers Program and licenses eBay Market Data through DataUnison. DataUnison provides eBay research dating up to two years back to help companies like WipBox analyze trends and make calculated recommendations to its users on which keywords, features and categories will help eBay sellers maximize their sales.

Less than a year old, WipBox already has more than 7,000 users. For more information on WipBox, please visit www.Wipbox.com.
