New York, NY (PRWEB) July 25, 2007 -- RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, and the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA), the leading trade association for the apparel and footwear industries, announced today that Esquel CIO Bridget Chan will present for the first time a case study at the second annual RFID Journal--AAFA Apparel & Footwear Summit, which will be held Aug. 20-22, 2007, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.

"RFID is becoming a critical technology for companies that want to compete in the highly competitive global apparel and footwear market," said Chan. It is also participating in a major Electronic Product Code trial involving the monitoring panel shipments between Hong Kong and China. "We're very excited to have Esquel presenting a case study at RFID Journal--AAFA Apparel & Footwear Summit," said Mark Roberti, founder and editor of RFID Journal. Chan joins a roster of leading early adopters speaking a the RFID Journal--AAFA Apparel & Footwear Summit. The keynote address will be delivered by Bill Holder, CIO of Dillards, who will explain the work Dillard's has been doing to determine where RFID can deliver value in the company's supply chain.
