Murrieta, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2007 -- Edbentor Innovative Solutions introduces the DataCOT, a removable hard drive subsystem with SATA/SAS drive and host capabilities in a rugged, lightweight and cost effective design.

"Our new DataCOT SATA/SAS removable hard drive enclosure is compatible with any 3.5" SATA or SAS low-profile hard disk drive while the secondary 7-pin SATA connector located on the rear of the receiving frame supports SAS operation," said Matt Munger, sales director, Edbentor. This multi-functional design allows for easy migration from one technology to another while eliminating additional costs associated with technology change. The DataCOT's compact frame and carrier fits easily within any 5.25" half-height peripheral bay.

"The smaller form factor design addresses the integration concerns of today," noted Munger. "As bezel sizes and internal bay obstacles fluctuate due to the systems overall form factor, Edbentor's goal was to create a removable hard drive enclosure that would be easy to integrate."

Edbentor's line of removable hard drive enclosures comes standard with high rated mating connectors for added insertion cycle protection and are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
